“Arthritis” - from the Greek ‘arthro’, meaning joint, and ‘itis’, meaning inflammation.
We are all told, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that. Arthur serves as a vessel to project my experience with Rheumatoid Arthritis and how to live with it from a young age.
Welcome to Arthur...
My name is Chloe, I'm 23 years old, a Professional Dancer and I have set up this page to provide support, understanding and a sense of community within people diagnosed with Arthritis. As soon as I was diagnosed I immediately turned to the internet and social media for support, and yes there are many websites with information on symptoms, diagnosis, research but none that seemed relevant to my situation. I wanted to create this website for young people dealing with the invisible auto immune disease, so we can share our stories, offer support to each other and deal with day to day challenges together. Everything I found online was so negative and pessimistic and I want to change that vibe.
So when I initially got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis I decided to name my disease to make it more manageable to deal with. I like to deal with my emotions sometimes by making a joke out of them as sometimes its easier to laugh then to cry, I did a lot of that too!
Everyone meet Arthur, my lifelong companion.
